Friday Rock Night! - System Of A Down!

Hello people! Today its friday! friday! gotta rock out on FRIDAY! ..

No but really, on fridays i will post something special about rock or metal for you.Today i will go into the band System of a Down from USA.

System Of A Down was formed in Los Angeles, CA, in 1994. But the roots go back to 1992 when many of the bandmates playes in a band called Soil.
They released their first album which was self titled, in 1998. After working with the legendary producer Rick Rubin for a while. Now they got some recognition and began touring   with bands such as Slayer and Metallica, and a gig at Ozzfest.

Their breakthrough came in late 2001 when the album Toxicity was released. It was released just a week before the 9/11 attacks in NY and after that it became the biggest selling rock album in many countries worldwide.

In 2002 some of the unfinished recorded songs for Toxicity leaked out on the internet and made the band very upset, the fans named the leaked recordings Toxicity II. But the band soon decided to re-record those songs for the next album and comicly named the album Steal This Album!

In 2004 they started recording two new albums who would take the band to even greater hights and bring them more fame than any album before. Mezmerize and Hypnotize was released 6 months apart in 2005, but both of them reached huge success and some songs got awarded with prestigious awards.

In 2006 they decided to take some time off, and they put the band on hold to put some focus on side projects. But they were clear about that they werent breaking up, they were just taking a break from SOAD. This hiatus went on about 5 years and they got back together in 2011 for touring, but it is unclear if they will record any new material again.

Hello people! I was just finished with the post when internet shut down, fun times.
So its been snowing alot recently and its been very cold, but i have had a good amount of creativity in the song department.

I wrote a small song a few days ago but i wont share it with you just yet :)
And ofcourse i havent forgotten about the song that i uploaded a part from on Soundcloud for you to listen to. I promise to work more on it tomorrow and in the coming days for your displeasure! :)

Todays song will be dark, heavy, and just really creepy. Its a Masterpiece of gigantic proportions. By a Swedish band ofcourse... And i do not care if you dont like it ;)

Its Snowing again!

Hello people! Its snowing again, and the winter wonderland usually gives me inspiration to songs, and today was not exception.
I found a really nice sound on the guitar and all i need now is some nice lyrics that arent cheesy. Even my special someone thought that the lyrics i write are cheesy so.. i need to change...
Anyway, the year 2013 is starting to take shape and i have alot of stuff to do in the coming weeks and i dont know it i will have much time to write music.
But i really need to prove myself to you guys since i've been talking bout my music but not uploading anything worth listening to. So im reeeaaallly gonna try to record something, anything. In the coming days.

Today i feel like sharing a piece of Metal history, by the band Sepultura, and one of my big inspirations to writing music, Max Cavalera (the singer). I've seen him and his other bands i think 3 or 4 times and i absolutely love his music, a true metalhead he is. \m/

Hello people! 

I have been working on some lyrics and song ideas, but i just cant find the right words to fit the right songs. And when people who usually like the lyrics i write, say thay they are just OK or not that good, then i really need to re-think it hehe.

And i know i promised you some new music on Songkick, and i didnt put anything up... just because i couldnt find or create anything worthy of posting. Im not very inspired right now when it comes to lyrics.

I will really try to write lyrics that arent cheesy and try to upload it soon. 

The guitar work is great though and im really proud with how im progressing in the ways of playing guitar :)
Today i think a song called Landslide would be nice with all the shit in my family going on.

Hello everyone! Been abit busy with something called life for the past days and totally forgot to post. Today i just relaxed and watched a boring movie but it turned out to be a few great hours anyway, and well my music is coming soon dont worry.Its gonna be on soundcloud and i might even upload something just after this post or any day now.

Hello! I'm working on a really great song that works great with background piano or something, im writing lyrics and it's going great.
As the ice and snow keeps melting outside, im trying to just pull it together and to not rip off some rockstar i dont know of.

And hopefully i will upload a piece of live recording for your ...amusement, soon! :)

Hellu! I got a Soundcloud account working, and the link is to the right and should be working...i hope. You'd think that 15 years of using computers would make me a genius at this stuff... but nope.
Thinking about working some on my music but im too tired at the moment and i kinda just wanna do something else. Atleast u have my Soundcloud now and you can download if u feel the need to show your friends my creativity...no wait, my LACK of creativity.

HAPPY NEW YEAR HONEY BOO BOO!

So the world didnt end in 2012 and we will have to endure atleast one more year with the Nickis , the Gagas and the Biebers...

Fortunately for me, this year comes with new albums from many great bands and hopefully some improved guitar and singing skills for me!

Listening to Best of You right now by Foo Fighters, they are one of my..if not my favorite rock band, so i guess ill share one of my favorite songs with them :)

I hope to start a soundcloud account soon for my own music, so you can enjoy some horrible guitar playing and the voice of a dying cat...or something hehe.
