New Song! + Django...A Love Story

Hey peepz!

I've recorded a new song, its a cover of a famous rock band :)
U can check it out on my soundcloud, u got link to the right. And also you can... well i would like it if u checked out my youtube channel hehe :) Feel free to click your way to my channel on the tube!

And also i watched Django Unchained (for the second time) yesterday and this time i was at the cinema, i just felt like it was more like a love story than an action film. Thats just stupid to think..with all that blood and yeh i wont spoil anything. But i was moved by their love somehow... Also i found a new obsession, its a beautiful song with an Italian singer and that guy Ennio Moricone(something like that) who makes amazing theme songs for movies :)

Here it is, give it a try, it will blow your mind!

Elisa Toffoli - Ancora Qui

And i dont know if i will post more here, so please please, subscribe to my channel on Youtube or on Soundcloud if u want more of my awesome music :)

Valentines Day incoming! And Favorite Girls!

Hello people!!! Valentines Day is coming up, this thursday!(?)
I dunno if you have a valentine, and if u do i dunno what you would give him/her, but being a musician or just a novice at instruments has its perks :P . Songs make great presents if they are written from the heart (i hope.. ).

Just a random pic i took, from Metaltown Festival in Sweden 2012.
Band is Gojira.. more on them on friday! :)

Its still pretty cold and its snowing alot, i cant seem to get a job at this moment but ill keep looking because, what else is there to do? I mean its not like i could get a job as a pro musician...right? In fact i dont want that kind of attention or stardom that it can bring. I just want to enjoy it and hopefully live of my music one day.

My cousin is off again, travelling a lot, and that makes me want a job even more so i can travel this summer in Europe, anywhere, everywhere... maybe ill bring my guitar? ;)

Ive had an obsession for this band The Icarus Account these past few days, its acoustic... just acoustic. Its what i want my sound to be, and its really great music. Maybe i wouldnt sing that much about love as they do but its still amazing what they create just 2 guys, 1 guitar btw. Amazing teamwork hehe :) .

Friday Rock Night! - A Tragic Story about Legends

Hello people! Its friday again, and that means Rock Night is back!

One of my favorite metalbands of all time, who created a song that in my opinion is the best death metal song ever, is called Decapitated and hail from Poland.

I first heard them maybe in 2005 on some site i guess and i didnt really like it much, the music was really heavy and cool but it still had something more, it was unpredictable and it almost never sounded the same, it was like a 4 minute solo with hellish drumming and guitars that sounded like if Lucifer himself was playing. Its very fast both for the drummer, guitarist and bass player.
And i want to point out that this was the real Technical Death Metal, i will give an example of what IS NOT real technical death metal, okay?

A few years passed and i heard some more of their work, and i started to enjoy metal more and especially their kind of metal, i learned later that it was called Technical Death Metal, and well, it is technical, and based alot around the amazing skills of the performers, you just cant play this music if you are a novice guitar player, its impossible, cant be done.

And i want to point out that this was the real Technical Death Metal, i will give an example of what IS NOT real technical death metal, okay?

THIS IS NOT TECH DEATH METAL WHAT THE...
IM ASHAMED, THIS IS JUST STUPID COME ON.
BAND IS VIRAEMIA, NOT DECAPITATED BTW.

DECAPITATED was formed in Krosno, Poland in 1996 by two bothers, Waclaw(Vogg) and Witold(Vitek) Kieltyka, and Wojciech(Sauron) Wasowicz. When they were in the mid teens and Vitek only 12 years old. A year later they added Marcin Rygiel to the lineup as bassist.

In 1997 they released their first Demo, Cemeterial Gardens, and a year later their second Demo called The Eye of Horus. This landed a record deal with Earache Records and in 1999 they released their debut album Winds of Creation. The drummer, Vitek, was only astonishing 15 years old when this album was recorded!

Decapitated - The First Damned
Note the awesome drums...!!!

It gave them widespread attention and they later got to tour with Vader in 2001, aslwell as getting praises from alot of media as one of Polands and Europes finest bands in Death Metal.

In 2002 they released their second album Nihility, and it forfilled the high expectations that they had from the debut album. This gave them even more gigs and they got to play at Polish Ozzfest that year. This album also contained the song that I think is one of the greatest metal songs ever written, Spheres Of Madness.

Decapitated - Spheres Of Madness

In 2004 they released their third album, The Negation and it recieved alot of posivite responses just like the last two albums did, and they band was on their way to Metal stardom for real.

In 2005 the singer, Sauron announced that he will be leaving the band due to other priorities. The band was now without a singer...
But not for long! They chose Adrian(Covan) Kowanek as the new singer and went straight right into the studios on August. With Covan at the mic, they recorded their fourth album called Organic Hallucinosis that was released in 2006, and it was abit different in the sound than the earlier albums but would gain alot of new fans aswell as keep the old fans interested and happy.

In 2006 they got to tour with bands like Six Feet Under, Fear Factory and Suffocation.

The Tragic Accident and re-awakening of Decapitated
The band was peaking, but as always, the thunder can strike from blue skies.
On October 28, 2007, the bands bus collided with a truck carrying wood in Belarus. Covan, the singer, and Vitek the drummer were severly injured in the accident.

On November 2, 2007, Vitek died on the hospital from his injuried, he was 23 years old. He is often described as one of the most talented Metal drummers, and drummers in general, in the world. He had exceptional talent and will always be remembered.
Covan slipped into a coma and was later moved to Poland, he is out of the coma but is still struggling with the recovery today many years later, alot of fans hope that he will one day return to Decapitated.

The band went on hiatus for a few years, and reformed again in 2009 with Kerim(Khrim) Lechner on drums and Rafal Piotrowski on vocals. They released the album Carnival Is Forever in the summer of 2011 and even if it didnt get the responses that their earlier albums did, it was still a great feeling even for me to see that DECAPITATED WAS BACK!In 2012 Khrim left the band and was replaced by drummer Pawel Jaroszewicz.

Thats all for this Rock Night i guess, STAY METAL!

Have a good one!

How to swim like a true viking!

Hey people, its getting crowded in here and im pretty happy about that :)
If you didn't know, I am a Swede, a Viking, and a proud one, so i like snow and winter, in fact i love it. I took up swimming and i like it so far, great workout for the whole body!

So, if you want to learn how to swim like a viking, you need to become one.... and today we're gonna practice on the first step, growling.... actually im joking but i thought it would be fun to share some growling from the tube with you :P

(This type of "singing" is used in the darker Metal genres
such as Death Metal for example)

THIS IS NOT ME BTW, IM NOT THIS BADASS

Even if you think Death Metal is garbage and ridiculous, it doesnt mean that IT IS.
If you dont like it, then it's rubbish to you, just add "I think" infront of the criticism and you will most likely avoid getting kicked in the balls, punched in the face or cried upon by a JB fan. (Just a tip for you)

Todays song, is by a band called Nightwish, though they aren't in their prime anymore they are still pretty good and they are one of Finlands greatest Metal bands, and please give it a chance would you?...They have an opera singer, kinda hot and very awesome ;)
Well, she left the band a few years back and the legendary Nightwish isnt as great nowadays but still.

(Singer) Tarja enters 1:30 in the clip.

Sad News, Chopin and Quality Metal!

Hello people! It snowed alot last night, so i would be happy, becuse i love snow. But i got sad news after being on errands today in town. The dog is sick and had to be put down, i didnt go with them but my dad and his girlfriend went (its her dog). But yeah its sad and i've known that dog for like 10 years. She was almost 11 now, RIP Mollie :( .

Over to the more fun stuff, do you like my posts about metal, rock, pop rock and stuff? NO?! Well don't be sad because i enjoy classical music aswell, and my favorite is the famous legend pianist Frederic Chopin, his music always made me feel sad or happy, the music he plays itself does not give u joy or sadness, it depends on how u interpret the music, because its very intense and could be both sad and happy!

Note that he has been dead for like umm...180 years or something? So there's not a youtube clip with the actual man. But nonetheless his music lives on!

Szpilman playing Chopin Nocturne op. 20

Thats pretty cool right? A bit of despair and happiness in one, in my opinion.
Now for a quality metal band that i KNOW that you haven't heard of even if you are a huge metalhead. And it should be listened to even if you hate metal, these guys can play their instruments and they are creative too.

The band Winterhorde was formed in 2001 and hail from...Israel! Yep its true! And i would say that they are more mindblowing than any of Marilyn Mansons shows, unless if you like posers instead of metal that is. They sing about cold, winter and forests and...oceans haha.
And truthfully i love the lyrics and the vocals, the guitarwork and everything about this band, it fits into place like a puzzle and creates magic! CHECK THEM OUT!

Hey how can i help you? And...Drag Teens?

Hey people! I've had a really intense week so far, and we're on day two!
So i might get a job in the coming days, and that will probably eliminate the opportunity to be a busker(street performer for cash..right?).
But my dream wasn't ever to become a customer support guy, and i will pursure a career in music as i always did, slow but steady progress ;).

The european song contest called Eurovision Song Contest is starting to shape up and the Swedish participation song is soon being elected by votes and stuff.
I dont personally follow this competition often unless there's a rock or metal band involved but i checked out some on youtube and found this guy who apparently is big in Japan but is a Swede.

Personally i dont like it much, and his clothes doesnt change my mind... i mean, its a song contest not a drag queen contest for teenagers right? :)
And the song itself is OK, and is different from the other contestants but it lacks that oomph and the bass. What do you think about it?

Yohio - Heartbreak Hotel ...wtf.

Have a good one!

Music and alot of junkfood...

Hey people! Sorry for not posting lately, i've had alot to do...

I've been working on some music that i might record soon, lyrics still not done. And i have listened to alot of cool music this past week. This weekend though, i ate way to much junkfood and stuff... so went for a walk in the dark to get some workout, and while i was walking in the thick nordic forest i found a new song on my iphone!
It's a beautiful song for a start, but i found some story behind it that makes it even more beautiful and sad, one thing i love about music is that we can pour our feelings into the music and make masterpieces that are captivating not only to the ears, but also to the mind and soul. Music can heal and strengthen you.

I found this quote on youtube, copied from Songmeanings.com (or something)

"Finishing on yet another deeply personal and emotional note 'The Sparrow' is dedicated to the wife of the band's accountant, who recently passed away from stomach cancer; the song's only lyrics "pursue happiness, with diligence" were her motto."

Now, listen and drift away to this great song written with alot of passion.

Mastodon - The Sparrow

I will try to post more, but i have important things to do.. :)

Have a good one!
